The Lies that Hide in Truth
I walked along a well-worn path
Searching for something new, something untouched
I saw a bird fly in, then out
Just a flash of color, but I swear I knew it
Like chasing after a faceless wind
I searched until my heart gave in
But it’s true I know, that it could not last
That burst of color would soon disappear
But love is love no matter how fast
How tragic the loss of a dream unfulfilled
My prayer is to forget all the lost and unshed tears.
Searching for something new, something untouched
I saw a bird fly in, then out
Just a flash of color, but I swear I knew it
Like chasing after a faceless wind
I searched until my heart gave in
But it’s true I know, that it could not last
That burst of color would soon disappear
But love is love no matter how fast
How tragic the loss of a dream unfulfilled
My prayer is to forget all the lost and unshed tears.
